About these terms

These terms apply to this website (simplymadestudio.net) and to our apps: Islam Everyday, WorkRoaster and Bouncy Calculator, on the web and, once published, on Google Play. Simply Made Studio is run by Samiur Rahman, an individual based in New South Wales, Australia. By using the website or an app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them.

Islam Everyday also has its own Terms of Use inside the app. Where they differ, the in-app terms apply to Islam Everyday.

Using our apps

Our apps are free to use for your own personal purposes. Please don't use them in a way that breaks the law, harms others, or tries to disrupt the apps or the services that host them.

Islam Everyday

• The app is an educational aid. It is not a fatwa, and nothing in it is a religious ruling.
• Prayer times, Hijri dates and fasting times are calculated, not observed. Please check them against your local mosque's timetable before relying on them.
• Qur'an translations, explanations and hadith are reproduced from the published sources named in the app, under those publishers' terms. The app's own notes and reflections have not been reviewed by a qualified scholar, and the app says so where they appear.

WorkRoaster

• WorkRoaster is a personal record-keeping tool. It is not payroll software and does not give financial, tax or legal advice.
• Its totals depend on what you enter. Check your actual pay against your payslip, your employment agreement and the relevant award or the Fair Work Ombudsman.

Bouncy Calculator

The calculator is tested, but please don't rely on it alone for calculations where a mistake could cause harm or financial loss, such as medication doses, engineering or official financial figures.

Your data

What you enter is saved on your own device. You are responsible for keeping backups. Clearing your browser data or uninstalling an app deletes it, and we can't recover it because we never had it. Our Privacy Policy explains this in full.

Ownership

The website, the apps' design, the Simply Made Studio name and logo, and our own writing belong to Samiur Rahman. Code in a public repository is covered by the licence in that repository, if it has one. Fonts, translations and other third-party material belong to their owners and are used under their licences, which are credited in each project.

No warranty

We work hard to make our apps accurate and reliable, but they are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that they will be free of errors, always available, or suitable for any particular purpose.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the website or apps, including loss of data, lost income or decisions made using their results. Where the law allows our liability to be limited but not excluded, it is limited to supplying the service again.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the website or an app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
